Jelly Jars
by Kerry
I’m smitten with these jars. Don’t know why, but I’m semi-giddy when I go to get the jelly each time. Hubby brought these home last week and I’ve never ooooo’d and ahhhhhh’d so much over preserves!
It’s gotta be the groovy geometric shape of the thing. Or the cute gingham lids? I dunno. I’m saving these cuties when they’re emptied. Thank you, Smuckers.
Yes. Adorable puppy in the background sitting by the fire watching crazy mama take pictures of jelly jars.
As what’s-her-name says in Devil Wears Prada… “That’s all.”

Gwen, this is for you!

I just stumbled upon this! Wasn’t even looking for it. Found it on Silhouette America via this giveaway {to help you make it} from Tatertots & Jello!!

I am going to have my hubby shop for these for me and for gifts. I love little jars. Yes Smuckers. I hope you are reading this. We love your jars! So if I eat lots of toast and jelly I could make a snow globe deal too?!
Gwen, glad it’s not just me!! Please share the snow globe deal with us – what’s that about?
Oh the Anthropologie copies… My daughter made hers last year…glue with a glue gun or specialty glue of your choice themini tree upside down to the inside of lid-I used a coupon and got a bag of 20 + bottlebrush trees at Michaels of lots of sizes for nine dollars with tax. Their wooden base makes them easy to glue. Put a bit of fake snow in the jar along with a teaspoon of fine glitter–not a lot– like amount a snow globe has…screw lid on tight, turn jar over and voila! A waterless little snow globe. I would like to find these jellies because jelly and toast sounds really good, and the lid would be already festive. Some of the trees in my big bag are mighty small too! Oh. Someone said just rub styrofoam with a cheese grater to make the snow too. Someone else said spray inside of jar with a mist of fine glitter spray paint…me? I’ve got to eat the jelly first. Then ill make the globe!!! Just a note. Years ago as a teacher we did the little jars with special clay and something to the water and I’m just never making real ones ever again!!! So ill make this kind but like I said, I’ve got to eat some major amount of jelly in a hurry!!!
Got it. Adorable idea – yes I’ve seen versions of these in the past, now that I ‘hear’ you describe it!! And yes, the gingham lids are a hit already! Love the snowy effect tips, too!! Yeah… Start eating some serious amount of jelly :) thanks Gwen
Look what I just found! Ironic, eh??

Ohh… those are so cute!! Love the pup watching you take photos. :)
I noticed her after the fact – she’s funny (and I’m sure thinks we’re all a little nuts!)
I have a weird jar addiction too and a cabinet full of cute jars I can’t throw away! My husband rolls his eyes…
Phew!! This makes me feel so validated in my new addiction! I could have snapped more pics of my other hoarded jars but didn’t want to scare readers off ;)
[...] Because Gwen is cracking me up I updated yesterday’s post. See here… [...]
Hurrah! My hubby went to the store. I even showed him the blog photos. Now honey this is the jelly I’d like. Strawberry if they have it. Yes dear was his response.
He ran errands and put all away but says, I left a surprise here for you. I bought peanut butter and these jellies ALL looked so good I bought every flavor they had. Four different jars!!
So now two of us will be eating jelly like crazy so I can use these $5 a piece jelly jars (well I suppose the jelly is worth something) — BUT WAIT
I can put the jelly in old plastic containers so I can make my cute snow globes??? Oh I don’t have plastic storage containers– back to eating lots of jelly…fast!!!
Honey dear, how does toast and jelly sound for lunch and PBJ for dinner and jelly on waffles??? Lol
Gwen, you are so funny!! Hysterical. Hope hubs like pb&j!!! – and how sweet of him to buy all those jars for you!! You’ll have to do a guest post for me on all those cute snow globes you’ll be crafting – hahaha!
